Fallout 4 Perks Rated: Charisma

Fallout 4 Perks Rated

The fourth SPECIAL perk tree we will look into will be Charisma. This tree has one of the strongest perks in the game which is Local Leader and it seems there are some other perks that are really worth it this time around! It also offers a nice alternative approach to the game due to increased chance in speech checks. Unfortunately, it seems that the speech checks in this game are harder than, for example, the speech checks in Fallout New Vegas. There is no guarantee that you will succeed when you have a certain amount of Charisma, but it can still give you some cool options. The Total perk is rated at 21 stars, so again it seems like a balanced perk. For other rated perk trees check out, Perception, Intelligence, Agility and Luck!

Cap Collector*
Fallout 4 Perk: Cap Collector
I. You’ve mastered the art of the deal! Buying and selling prices at vendors are better.
II. Buying and selling prices of vendors are now much better. (Requires: Level 20)
III. You can now invest a total of 500 caps to raise a store’s buying capacity. (Requires: Level 41)

Rating: This perk is actually quite useless unless you plan to rush through the game and don’t play for a long time, so you can get some fast caps. Otherwise, you will get plenty of caps just playing the game.

Lady Killer**
Fallout 4 Perk: Lady Killer
I. You’re charming… and dangerous. Men/Women suffer +5% damage in combat and are easier to persuade in dialogue.
II. Men/Women now suffer +10% damage in combat and are even easier to persuade in dialogue. They are also easier to pacify with the Intimidation perk. (Requires: Level 7)
III. Men/Women now suffer +15% damage in combat and are much easier to persuade in dialogue. They are now even easier to pacify with the Intimidation perk. (Requires: Level 16)

Rating: This perk is alright at some moments in the game, but if you really wanna maximize your damage, you are better off focusing on general/weapon damage perks. However, the speech checks can be fun, so if you have some points to spare, take it!

Lone Wanderer***
Fallout 4 Perk: Lone Wanderer
I. Who needs friends, anyway? When adventuring without a companion, you take 15% less damage and carry weight increases by 50.
II. When adventuring without a companion, you take 30% less damage and carry weight increases by 100. (Requires: Level 17)
III. When adventuring without a companion, you do 25% more damage. (Requires: Level 40)

Rating: Lone Wanderer is a very strong perk, more carry weight, more damage done and less damage taken. Also a fun fact, it worth with Dogmeat as your ‘companion’.

Attack Dog**
Fallout 4 Perk: Attack Dog
I. Your faithful canine companion can hold an enemy, giving you a greater chance to hit them in V.A.T.S.
II. When your dog holds an enemy, there’s a chance he’ll cripple the limb he’s biting. (Requires: Level 9)
III. When your dog holds an enemy, there’s a chance he’ll cause them to bleed. (Requires: Level 25)

Rating: This perk is very useful if you plan on keeping your dog as a companion. Otherwise, I wouldn’t bother putting any level in it.

Animal Friend**
Fallout 4 Perk: Animal Friend
I. Commune with beasts! With your gun, aim at any animal below your level and gain a chance to pacify it.
II. When you successfully pacify an animal, you can incite it to attack. (Requires: Level 12)
III. When you successfully pacify an animal, you can give it specific commands. (Requires: Level 28)

Rating: Another situational perk, but there are many beasts to be found in the wasteland. Great Perk in the beginning and with low Charisma, but it will be less useful later in the game. Also, if you can take Wasteland Whisperer, just skip this perk.

Local Leader***
Fallout 4 Perk: Local Leader
I. As the ruler everyone turns to, you are able to establish supply lines between your workshop settlements.
II. You can build stores and workstations at workshop settlements. (Requires: Level 14)

Rating: This perk is a must-have for every player, building settlements is just a great aspect of Fallout 4.

Party Boy*
Fallout 4 Perk: Party Boy
I. Nobody has a good time like you! There’s no chance you’ll get addicted to alcohol.
II. The effects of alcohol are doubled. (Requires: Level 15)
III. Your Luck is increased by 3 while you’re under the influence of alcohol. (Requires: Level 37)

Rating: Although I personally don’t like booze or chems, chems are definitely the stronger one of those two. So, take that first before you even consider this one!

Inspirational*
Fallout 4 Perk: Inspirational
I.Because you lead by example, your companion does more damage in combat, and cannot hurt you.
II. Your companion resists more damage in combat, and can’t be harmed by your attacks. (Requires: Level 19)
III. Your companion can carry more items. (Requires: Level 43)

Rating: This perk is not very good, companion are easily healed and they are already quite strong before any of these buffs. More carry weight can be nice, but you can also use Lone Wanderer/Strong Back for that or just up Strength.

Wasteland Whisperer***
Fallout 4 Perk: Wasteland Whisperer
I. Master the post-apocalypse! With your gun, aim at any Wasteland creature below your level and gain a chance to pacify it.
II. When you successfully pacify a creature, you can incite it to attack. (Requires: Level 21)
III. When you successfully pacify a creature, you can give it specific commands. (Requires: Level 49)

Rating: This perk is actually a lot better than Animal Companion, having creatures fight with you can be really nice. They can just tank damage while you pick your enemies off one by one.

Intimidation***
Fallout 4 Perk: Intimidation
I. Time to show everyone who’s boss! With your gun, aim at any human opponent below your level and gain a chance to pacify them.
II. When you successfully pacify someone, you can incite them to attack. (Requires: Level 23)
III. When you successfully pacify someone, you can give them specific commands. (Requires: Level 50)

Rating: Combined with Animal Companion, your character will be the master of crowd control. Most gamers knows the importance of crowd control and in Fallout 4 your character also benefits from some great CC.
